ACRA
Business
The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority is the national regulator of businesses, public accountants and corporate service providers in Singapore. Anyone starting a business here generally registers it with ACRA through the BizFile portal, whether as a sole proprietorship, partnership or company. ACRA maintains the public register of business entities, so members of the public can search a company's registered details, directors and status. Registered entities must keep information updated and file annual returns where required. It is often the first stop when setting up or checking on a business. Registration steps, fees and filing duties are subject to the latest rules.
