Education
After secondary school, students in Singapore usually choose among three post-secondary paths. Junior College is a two-year academic track leading to the A-Levels, aimed mainly at university entry. Polytechnics offer three-year diplomas that mix theory with practical, industry-relevant training across many fields. The Institute of Technical Education provides hands-on certificates and diplomas for technical and vocational skills. All three can eventually lead to university, and pathways between them are increasingly flexible. Choice usually depends on a student's results, learning style and career interests. Entry requirements and course offerings are subject to the latest rules.
