The Annual Wage Supplement, often called the 13th month bonus, is an extra payment on top of your 12 months of salary, usually paid near year end. It is not compulsory by law; whether you get it depends on your employment contract, collective agreement or company practice. It is different from a performance bonus, which is tied to how well you or the company did. AWS is commonly one month's basic pay but can be pro-rated if you did not work the full year. Actual entitlement is subject to the latest rules and your contract.
