Best value SIM-only plan in SG right now? Tired of overpaying

I'm out of my contract and my telco is charging me way too much for data I barely use. I want a no-frills SIM-only plan, decent data, good coverage, no fluff. What are you all using and roughly how much are you paying?

Switched to an MVNO two years ago and never looked back. The digital-only telcos like the ones riding on the big networks give you 100GB-plus for around 10 to 18 dollars a month, no contract, cancel anytime through the app. Coverage is the same towers as the major telco they piggyback on, so in practice I notice zero difference in the MRT or heartlands. My tips: don't chase the biggest data bucket, look at what you actually use, most people burn under 20GB. Watch for intro prices that jump after 6 months, set a reminder to re-evaluate. And port your number, it takes a day and you keep everything. I pay 12 a month now versus the 40 I used to bleed on a legacy plan. The savings over a year bought me a decent pair of earbuds.

One thing people forget, if you travel a lot to JB or the region, check the roaming add-ons before switching. Some MVNOs have terrible or expensive roaming even if the local plan is cheap. I stayed with a slightly pricier plan mainly because its regional roaming pass is dirt cheap and I go Malaysia monthly. Match the plan to your life, not just the headline data.

Look out for the recontract and new-sign-up promos that pop up around 11.11, Black Friday and the IT shows. I grabbed a plan with double data locked in at signup price forever during a show promo. Same network, half the price of walking into a store on a normal day. Timing matters more than people think.
