The horror stories are real. My rule: the small savings from a dodgy shop aren't worth voiding warranty on a $1k+ device. Buy local set from an authorised channel during a promo, pay with a card that adds purchase protection, and you get the best balance of price and safety. Please always insist on LOCAL SET. Export sets are cheaper but you get zero local warranty and support, and repairs cost a bomb. A friend saved $150 on an export set, screen issue two months later, no warranty, ended up paying way more than he saved. The savings are a trap. Local set, authorised seller, keep the receipt. Non-negotiable for expensive electronics.
